Os: - operating system

There are mainly four type os.

1. Dos (disk operating system)

2. Windows (wide interactive network devolve office work solution)

3. Unix

4. Linux

                                         -: Dos:-

This is the first os. This is non graphics os .this is command base os.

Two types command in dos.we cannot use mouse in this os.

1. Internal command

2. External command

                                       -: Internal command:-

These command work as system files.

(A)        Copy con command-:- by this command we can make a new file.

Syntax:- copy con filename   enter

Type some matter    enter

Press f6

(b)  Dir command:-by this command we can see the list of file or directories.

           Syntax-:-dir        enter

(c) Type command:-by this option we can see the matter of any file.

Syntax: - type file name   enter

(d) Del command: - by this command we can delete any file.

 Syntax:-Del file name

(e) Cls command-:-by this command we can clear the screen.

Syntax-: - cls enter

Dir command:-

Dir/p= to see the page wise the directory name

Dir/b=to see the name of file only.

Dir/ad= to see the only directory list.

Dir/a-d=to see the list of only file list.

Dir/on=to see the to z order file name.

Dir/o-n=to see the list of file or dir in z to a order.

Dir/s = to see the total file and directory list in any partition

Of the hard disk.

Dir/oe=to see the extension name only file.

Assertive sign=(1) if we know the first alphabet of any file.

Dir r*    enter

(2) If we know the middle alphabet of any file name.

Dir *i*    enter

(3)if we know the last alphabet of any file

Dir  *r   enter

If we know the first alphabet of any file

Dir    r???

If we know the middle alphabet of any file

Dir   ??v?

If we know last alphabet of any file

Dir ???i

BATCH FILE:-by this command we can make a group of commands.

Copy con raj.bat

Dir

Dir/p

Cls

Dir/w

Dir/s

Dir/b

Dir/ad

Dir/a-d

Press f6

Copy command:-by this command we can make a duplicate copy

Or we can join many files into a single file.

Copy   old file name   new file name    (for change the name of file.)

Copy 1st file name+2^nd file name+3^rd +4^th file new file name. To join many file.

Md command:-by this command we can make a directory.

Md dir name (any name)

Cd command= by this command we can enter in to any file.

Cd dir name.

cd.. command :-by this command we can exit from any directory.

cd..    enter

rd command :-by this command we can delete any directory.

Rd dir name

Note:-directory should be blank.

Date command:-by this command we can see the current date of the system.

Date     enter

Time command:-by this command we change and see the current time of the computer

Time      enter

External command:-these commands work as own file.

(a)          Attrib command:-by this command we can hide or protect the file.

Syntax:-to hide =attrib +h file name.

To unhide=attrib –h file name

To protect =attrib +r file name

Unprotect =attrib –r file name

Chkdsk==by this command we can check the bad sector of hard disk drive.
